Hello Coaches,
My name is Quinn Brydges and I’m a Libero from Ottawa, Canada, currently playing for the Mavericks Goldrush, one of top 17U club teams in Canada. I’m a student at De La Salle High School in the class of 2027. I am fluent in both English and French and maintain a 4.0 GPA (95 % average). My ability to balance academics and athletics demonstrates my commitment to both personal and team success. I’m a focused, coachable player with a strong competitive mindset.
I am a multi sport athlete who plays for my high school’s volleyball, cross country, soccer and track and field teams. I was a starter for the Senior Girls’ Volleyball team as a Grade 9. In track and field, I specialize in long jump and the 200m sprint. Outside of sports, I am very artistic as part of my school’s Visual Arts concentration, and I enjoy reading and travelling.
I have played up in age levels for most of my club career. I have achieved numerous successes in indoor and beach volleyball. For indoor these include, an invitation to Volleyball Canada’s 2026 & 2025 National Excellence Program In Person Talent ID Camp, selection to the 2024 Team Ontario White program, where I received the “Tempo Setter Award”, and an invitation to train up an age level with the Team Ontario Red program. In 2025 with my club team, we placed 5th at 16U Provincials and 7th at the 16U Grand Prix. My team was also ranked 8th in Canada, finishing the 2025 Youth National Championships as D1T3 silver medallists. My team this year is currently ranked 9th in OVA Premier/in the province.
For beach volleyball, I am a defender and a multiple medal winner at the provincial and national level. I placed 2nd at Provincials in 2022 and 2023 and was ranked top 3 in Ontario at 15U in 2024. I also won the Ottawa Sport Award for the city’s Outstanding Beach Athlete in 2023, 2024 and 2025. I played up in 17U and finished 9th overall in Canada at the 2025 Canadian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships.
I’m a team-first athlete who values communication, trust and accountability. I always stay positive and supportive on and off the court. You can recognize me as the one who is my teammates’ biggest cheerleader when they do well. I believe that exceptional teams are built on respect and effort and I give my best every day to contribute to a unified team environment. I lead by example through my work ethic and energy, and I’m always ready to help teammates improve. My leadership skills have been shown as being selected as Captain for my Club and high school volleyball teams, and also in my nomination to my Club team’s leadership council.
I am an extremely intuitive, fast, and agile player, which lends to my defensive skills. I’m also very versatile and have played multiple positions, including setter for my Club team and Team Ontario. I am known for my caIm composure, resilience, court IQ and integrity both on and off the court.
I am truly grateful for all the opportunities and experiences volleyball has brought to my life. I hope to pursue an education in the science field. My goal is to be part of a competitive volleyball program, while staying focused on my studies, where I can work with elite coaches and athletes to grow and develop as a student athlete. I’m ready to work hard and make the most out of every opportunity.
