Hi, my name is Petra Tóth! I am from Hungary, and my dream and goal have always been to study and play sports in the United States. My role model is my older sister, whom I have always seen as a huge source of motivation—she will begin her studies at Georgia Tech in 2025 with a volleyball scholarship as a setter.
Volleyball has always played a leading role in my family, my father was the Peresident of the Hungarian Volleyball Federation. Besides volleyball, I played tennis for six years, but I realized that I much more enjoy working in a team and sharing the joy of victory with others.
I started my volleyball career at my father’s club, KRA. Currently, I play for BDSE, and I really love the team atmosphere and the fact that this club allows me to push my limits, helping me achieve my goals. I play as an outside hitter, a position I absolutely love. My strengths are serve reception, defense, and blocking, but I strive to improve in all aspects of the game.
Volleyball has taught me a lot, including perseverance, patience, team spirit, and how to stay calm and focused even in difficult, high-pressure situations.
