About me
My name is Pavle Matic, I am a 17-year-old Opposite Hitter born in 2007 standing at 6’4 I have been playing volleyball since the age of 14 and I have dedicated my career to being an offensive player, playing both outside hitter and opposite hitter. For the first 3 years, I played for a club called OK Crnjanski in Belgrade Serbia. Still, this season due to my living transition because of my mother’s diplomatic post, I am playing for VK Sodermalm in Stockholm in Division 1 which is the second-best senior division in Sweden. Despite my age, I can play and train with the men’s “A” team and I am the youngest on my team, I fight hard for my spot on the court. I am recognized for my strong hitting power and quick defensive reflexes, which help me stand out, especially as a younger player in Division 1.
I am Serbian but currently live in Stockholm, Sweden where I am finishing my final year of high school and I would like to continue my education and volleyball career in America. My education is a number one priority to me as I would like to have a good education and learn while playing volleyball, being a perfect blend of student-athlete.
I am strongly motivated to achieve my goals and dreams and committed to maintaining my strong work ethic and physical health. I see myself as a leader and as someone who will always encourage and push you to do your best I take pride in having this mentality and I think it would bring a great positive energy to the team.

Additional information
I am an International Baccalaureate (IB) student completing my final year in the Diploma Program (DP2). Through my dedication to volleyball and my strong academics, I would like to secure a scholarship in the United States of America, that will enable me to achieve a balance between academics and sports, and I hope that I will be able to secure that as an excellent student and devoted athlete. The quality of education is my top priority and the choice of a University/College with a strong business program (as a major) with a good and competitive volleyball team is crucial for my decision where I would like to continue and pursue my higher education and continue my volleyball career. While I strive to excel as a volleyball player and athlete, I am fully aware of the need and importance of a life outside of the world of sports. I aim to receive a high-quality education that fulfills my business and entrepreneurial mindset which will encourage my development off and on the court. My ultimate goal and aim is to pursue a higher education at `a US University which will support my development as a volleyball player while I am expanding my learning frontiers by receiving an excellent education.
