Hello, my name is Nuria, and I am a basketball athlete from Madrid, Spain. I am currently a high school senior student-athlete with a passion for competing at the highest level while excelling academically.
I have been dedicated to basketball for 8 years and primarily play as a point guard, though I can also contribute as a shooting guard. Some of my key achievements include leading my team to an upgrade in league competition and being part of multiple teams in the top league available in Madrid. My hard work and commitment have helped me grow both as an athlete and as a teammate.
I have also been immersed in English from a young age, having studied in English from the age of 3 until I was 16. This experience has provided me with strong language skills and the ability to adapt to diverse environments, which I believe will help me succeed both academically and athletically in college.
Off the court, I am equally committed to my academics, maintaining a GPA of 3.7 while actively participating in various extracurricular activities. These include being part of debate teams, tutoring younger students in English, staying with an Irish family to immerse myself in their culture, and more. My goal is to attend a university where I can continue to grow as a student and athlete, contributing to a team’s success while pursuing a degree in physical therapy or kinesiology.
I pride myself on my defense, work ethic, dedication to the sport, and respect both on and off the court. From my teammates and coaching staff to my teachers and family, I value strong relationships and a commitment to excellence.
