Since I was little, sports have always been my refuge. I didn’t grow up with much, and even today, life hasn’t been easy. I live only with my mother, who unfortunately doesn’t understand how much sports mean to me. I’ve never had financial or emotional support to follow this passion, and even so, I’ve always fought to keep going.
I’m a young woman who truly loves basketball. I don’t just play for fun — I play because I need to. Because when I’m on the court, I feel alive. Sports are the only thing that give me meaning, that keep me going, that make me smile even when everything else seems dark. I’ve had to stop training at times because of school and a lack of resources, and every pause hurts. It hurts because it feels like a part of me is being taken away.
But I’m still here. Persisting. Believing. Even with almost nothing, I carry a huge dream inside me: to train, to grow, and to become a real athlete. This opportunity would be more than just a chance — it would be a new beginning, a chance to rewrite my story. I don’t just want to go… I need to go. Because this is where I place all my hope.
I know I can go far if someone believes in me. I just need one chance. That chance.
