    About me

My name is Kate Chipman and I am a Middle Blocker in the class of 2026. I am from Toronto, Ontario and am a Junior at Branksome Hall, an independent International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. I have a strong focus on high performance in sports and academics and I currently have a weighted 5.0 GPA. I have maintained this average over the previous 3 years.

I became immensely interested in volleyball in 2020, when Covid shut down my previous rep sports, which included high level basketball, lacrosse and soccer. Since 2020, I have achieved numerous successes in indoor and beach volleyball. For indoor these include playing for Team Canada U17 at the NORCECA World Qualifiers, winning 16U Provincials and Nationals as well as the Grand Prix. I was also named 16U Nationals MVP, MVP of my Pakmen Gold team and Grand Prix All-Star. I was also selected to play in the All Canadian Games in 2024 and 2025 and the Team Canada Red and White Program.

For beach volleyball, I am a blocker and I have also achieved various successes. I represented Team Canada Beach at U23 NORCECA in 2024 and I have been on Team Ontario for the last 2 years. I have also placed 2nd in Nationals in 2023 and 2022 and 2nd in Provincials in 2024.

I am highly motivated to excel in volleyball and academics. I believe in uplifting my teammates and creating a great team environment. My leadership skills have been shown as being selected as Captain for my Club team for the last 2 years and for my high school volleyball team. I am also very versatile and have played multiple positions including setter for my high school team in which we made it to OFSAA, and Opposite on my club team. I consider myself to be very coachable and I am extremely grateful for my coaches and the opportunities they have provided me. I am excited to continue my volleyball career and hoping to find a program that I can build a great team environment with.
