About me
My name is Jovan Marjanović, and I am an 18-year-old, 6’6” middle blocker from Belgrade, Serbia. Throughout my entire career, I have remained loyal to OK Lucky Star, a small but mighty Serbian club. I started playing volleyball at the age of 10 and spent much of my career playing as an opposite hitter. As an opposite, I won the U18 National Championship, and the following year, my team placed 3rd in the same competition.
In January this year, I transitioned to my current position as a middle blocker by chance. Despite being new to the role, I quickly adapted, and our club excelled that season. We defeated some of Serbia’s best teams in the U20 league and simultaneously won Serbia’s 2nd league undefeated, with me holding the starting middle blocker position after only a few months of training in this role. As a middle blocker, I also competed in the U18 National Championship, where my team secured 2nd place.
Currently, I am competing in Serbia’s most prestigious U20 league and hold a starting position in the 1st Men’s League, the second-highest professional league in the country. Despite being slightly smaller for a middle blocker, I am known for my high explosiveness and vertical jump. I have a spike reach of 11’8″ and a blocking reach of 10’9″. Statistically, I am ranked as one of the best middle blockers in the league and by far the best in my age group.
I have always maintained a strong dedication to my health and work ethic. I enjoy pushing my teammates to perform their best and fostering a positive, energetic team environment. Im playing this position for less than a year, but im ready for big work and improvement.
