My name is Ilan Weinberger, and I’m a Chilean volleyball player.
With the National Team of Chile, in 2023 I competed in a South American Championship (Araguari, Brazil), where we won the bronze medal.
In 2024 I was selected to play in the Boy´s U17 World Championship (Sofia, Bulgaria) as the Chilean Setter, which was an incredible experience to grow up to another level as a volleyball player.
I have also played in many national championships and participate in tours with National Team U17 and U19.
Currently, I play in Stadio Italiano (a first division Chilean team) with the U17, U19, and adult teams, preparing for the national adult league.
Also, for the past 2 years I have been doing weights and athlete work with a personal trainer and just looking for the best way to take myself to the highest performance and be able to arrive at the top of my volleyball athlete version.
Personally, my goal is to go as far as possible with my volleyball career, so since a long time that I’ve been just focused on doing better every day and growing up in physical, mental, and technical aspects, as much as my limits let me do it.

National team coaches changed me from MB to OH and, since one year ago, from OH to Setter because they saw a big potential in me as a setter (they were absolutly right). I have extra awards thanks to many junior and team leagues, but some of them have a low competitive level, so I prefer to skip them. I want to be dedicated all my life to sports subjects (volleyball and university career). Personally, I love all the social and volunteer subjects; that's why I'm an aspirant firefighter (in Chile, firefighter labor is voluntary). I have a personal trainer, a nutritionist, a sports psychologist, and a lot of very smart volleyball trainers, but the helpful support is that I'm aware and confident of my life goals, so I´m just working on them.
