My name is Hanna Vidović, I am 18 years old, and I was born and raised in Vienna, Austria, though my roots trace back to Croatia. Volleyball has been a cornerstone of my life for the past 12 years, and my family’s love for sports has always been a source of inspiration. My sister played volleyball for 11 years, my dad played football, and my mom practiced taekwondo, making sports a defining part of our family culture.
I currently play for VB NÖ Sokol/Post, where I’ve been since May 2018 after transferring from my first club, volley16wien. This season, I had the honor of making my debut in my countrys highest league, the Austrian National League, an achievement that reflects years of hard work and dedication. Some of the highlights of my career so far include:
• 2022/23 U18 3rd Place in the Austrian Championship with VB NÖ Sokol/Post
• 2022/23 U18 Lower Austria Champions
• 2023/24 U20 2nd place in the Lower Austria Championships
• 2023/24 2nd place in the Lower Austria Cup
• 2024/25 U20 Vienna Champions
In addition to my club success, I was part of the extended national team squad, an experience that motivated me to continually push my limits as an athlete.
Beyond volleyball, I am committed to my education. I am currently on my way to finish High School at the Higher Federal Teaching and Research Institute for the Chemical Industry in Vienna and will graduate in June 2026. My academic path demonstrates my determination to excel in all areas of life, balancing the demands of competitive sports with rigorous studies.
Team sports like volleyball have taught me resilience, leadership, and the power of collaboration. It has shaped me not only as a player but also as a person, preparing me to face challenges, both on and off the court.
I am eager to continue my volleyball journey at the collegiate level in the United States, where I see an incredible opportunity to grow as both an athlete and a student. My passion for volleyball, combined with my drive and ambition, makes me confident that I can contribute meaningfully to any program I join.
For me, volleyball is more than just a sport—it’s a way of life, a source of growth, and a constant motivator to strive for excellence. I’m excited to bring this same energy, commitment, and love for the game to the next chapter of my career.
