I am writing this letter to kindly indicate my enthuasism to apply for the athletic scholarship opportunity at the … University.
I am particularly interested in pursuing my education at the … University due to its esteemed academic reputation, commitment to athletic excellence, and the opportunity to be a part of its outstanding volleyball team. Having researched extensively about the university’s values and achievements, I strongly believe that it aligns perfectly with my personal and professional aspirations.
I studied in distinguished private elemantary, secondary school and high school with the scholarships that I won by taking the competitive nationwide exams in Türkiye, which 1.8 million students took the exam and I achieved a significant success by getting into the 3rd percentile. Besides my achievements at school, I am a professional athlete who has been playing volleyball since secondary school. I am honored to highlight my accomplishments in volleyball, both at the national level (U19, U20 and U21) and at a distinguished professional volleyball sports club. I have been playing volleyball as a setter with licence at Spor Toto Sport Club. and Turkish Federation Volleyball in Türkiye.
While playing volleyball as a licensed volleyball player, I always managed to get good grades at school. I have maintained a strong academic record with a GPA above 96/100 and excelled in all my classes throughout my secondary and high school years, consistently earning high grades in mathematics, science, and language.
During my second year of high school at Ankara Private Sınav Schools, upon the national team coach encouraged me to pursue my study at Turkish Federation Volleyball High School so that I could further develop my volleyball career along with my academic career. In the second year of Ankara Private Sınav Schools, I was transferred to Turkish Volleyball Federation Volleyball High School, this was my first transfer in terms of volleyball player.
In 2022, I was selected to U20 national team to represent my country on the national team in volleyball tournament. Participating U20 Men Balkan Championship in 2022 and U19 Men Balkan Championship in 2023, I represented my country. We came 2nd in 2022 and got silver medal. In 2023 at Balkan Championships we came 3rd and gained bronze medal.
During this period, I was presented by Certificate of Outstanding Achievement and Certificate of Honor at 11th grade, and Certificate of Honor at 10th grade high school.
In 2024, we became Türkiye Champion in inter-high school volleyball, I was selected the best setter in championship and qualified to participate in World Cup in Serbia in 2024, April, organized by International Sport Federation (ISF) in every two years. I played in setter position and represented my team as captain. We achieved a great success and came 3rd in the World and got bronz medal for World Cup.
In 2024 June, I graduated from high school at the top of my high school and I was honored by presenting a first place plaque from the Governor.
In the Cev Challange Cup played in 2025, we finished the tournament 3rd as Spor Toto Sport Club. Same year in August, I represented my country in World Championship U21 as a setter which was organized by FIVB in China. I was also in the VNL roster for Türkiye.
As an aspiring student-athlete with a passion for academics and exceptional achievements both in sport and academic, I believe that I possess dedication and skills necessary to make a significant success in my academic career at your distinguished university.
The experiences that I obtained from sport and representing my country on the national volleyball team have helped me to develop my personal growth, leadership skills, and ability to handle pressure and also taught me the importance of resilience, time management, and balancing commitments.
By balancing my rigorous training schedule with my academic responsibilities, I have consistently demonstrated an exceptional commitment to learning and achieving academic excellence. I have honored by certificate of excellence, certificate of proud and certificate of outstanding achievement.
Currently, I have been playing for with double licence both Spor Toto Sport Club EFELER LİGİ – CEV CHALLANGE CUP and Turkish Federation Volleyball Sport Clup 1.Lig team as a setter.
I firmly believe that my academic success, combined with my natural talent and passion for volleyball, made me an ideal candidate for the undergraduate scholarship at the … University.
