ABOUT ME:

Sport can be an avenue to do good in the world and to learn many lessons along the way. I am a multi-sport athlete (also a volleyball setter) and my primary position is pitcher. I am also very strong at third base and can be used as a utility player in the infield and outfield. When my team won provincials in British Columbia, Canada, I pitched the last game after three previous games that day in 95 F heat. After a year of battling against our rival the whole season, we were determined to win. We played relaxed and steady and successfully won the game after a long fought battle. That weekend, I struck out 51 batters (out of 121 total). This is the mindset that I have taken when playing in competitions like the Little League World Series (Team Canada), British Columbia Summer Games, Western Canadian Championships, Canada Futures, and throughout my regular seasons. I have learnt that along with the hard work of training, focusing on goals, lifting each other up, and having fun are all are big factors in defying the odds.

I have made so many friends, had so many great coaches, and been able to travel to different places through playing the sports I love. Playing at the college level would be continuing that journey to work with high-level coaches and to be able to meet other focused, determined, kind, and hardworking athletes while studying either health or exercise science. I am in a program for gifted and out of the box thinkers and have a 4.0 GPA.
