About me
My name is Anouk Taylor and Im an outside hitter/ opposite from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Here I attend my high school St. Marys Academy. I have a pretty big family with 4 siblings and 6 pets. One of my favourite things to do is travel, and my favourite place I have ever been is Sweden! I love creating my life outside of volleyball as good as my life in volleyball is and I value each equally.
I play on my high school volleyball team where I have been lucky enough to be named captain for the past 2 years for my JV team. Last year we placed 3rd at MHSAA provincials, as well as the year before. Because of my schools policy I wasn’t allowed to play on my varsity team, but I have been called up to play on several occasions.
I started playing club in the middle of covid unfortunately where I played 2 age groups up in grade 5 playing for a 13u Junior Bisons team. In grade 7 I was aloud to play again, I played on Junior Bisons 13u Gold, my clubs 1’s team. The next year I continued playing with my team for my 14’s year, where we were in the national final and became finalists. In 15u I continued with the same team and was named captain. We went on the win Best of the West, there I was named MVP. Then we placed 3rd at nationals a couple months after. That summer I played with the U17 national team competing at Canada Cup, which we placed 2nd at. This past year I played for 16u Junior Bisons Gold, where I remained captain. I lead my team to a 3rd place finish at Best of the West, and an 11th place finish at Volleyball Canada nationals. On June 8th I was lucky enough to compete in the All Canadian games sponsored by Cwench as well as many other companies like Mizuno and Crocs. I played on team Grey and had the honour to be the captain.
