About me

My name is Annabelle Marcuzzi, and I am a setter in the Class of 2027. I am a Grade 11 student at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School in Oakville, Ontario, where I balance academics and athletics while striving for excellence in both. I am currently in my fourth year of volleyball and continue to challenge myself at a high level of competition.

I’ve been selected for the U19 team Canada training roster, participated in the team Ontario 16U program and won at both the 16U and 17U All-Canadian Games. At the 17U All-Canadian Games, I was also honored with the Team Impact Award. Having the opportunity to compete alongside and against some of the top athletes in Canada was an incredible experience and a great opportunity that helped me grow as both a player and a leader.

I come from a strong multi-sport background, including several years of playing rep hockey at the highest level. Those experiences helped develop my athleticism, competitiveness, resilience, and mental toughness. Volleyball is the sport I am most passionate about, and I enjoy the responsibility of being a setter, the decision-making, leadership, and trust required to run an offense and put my teammates in the best position to succeed.

In addition to club volleyball, I compete in multiple school sports and balance athletics with a part-time job, which has strengthened my time-management skills, discipline, and work ethic. Although I started volleyball later than many athletes, I embraced the challenge and progressed quickly through dedication and a commitment to continuous improvement. I currently play for the 17U Gold team at Pakmen Volleyball Club.

I am a highly coachable, hardworking athlete who is committed to improving every day. My goal is to compete at the NCAA level while pursuing a degree in finance or engineering and contributing to a program that values growth, leadership, strong team culture, and academic excellence.
