Dear Coaches,
My name is Amanda Souza and I am interested in studying and playing volleyball in the USA. I hope that you will consider me for a sports scholarship. I am 18 years old (2008) and come from Uberlandia, Brazil. I am 5’7” feet tall and I play as a Setter. Currently I am a student at Verità High School ( Chopinzinho, PR) in which I have a 100% scholarship because of voleyball and play for Acel Chopinzinho team which represents our school, but I’ve played for 5 years in the Praia Clube team (Uberlândia, MG).
I have been playing volleyball for ten years and I consider myself a good listener, stable, intelligent and aggressive player. I also take my academics very seriously and have consistently maintained strong academic performance while balancing the demands of high level volleyball. I moved out from my hometown to another state when I was 17 years old (2025) to study and play for a good high school team in Brazil. We had a good spring season, we went to the Brazilian Interclub Championship (CBI) in which we were in 5th place, we also play the South Cup, in which only the two best teams from the three southern states are qualified to play it and we are in 3rd place and finally we are playing the U19 and U21 state championships in which in 19 we are in first place and in 21 we are third, we have more phases until the final of the championship.
My potential major is Health Sciences.
As an incoming freshman I am looking for a school in the US to continue my career as a Student Player and I would be really happy if I have the opportunity to study in yours.
